How to create admin/drivers accounts and prepaid/postpaid customer accounts?

Create admin/driver account

  1. Login using the administrator account provided.
  2. Click the People link at the top of the administration menu.
  3. Click Add user.
  4. Enter the details for this user and select Roles - driver if you want this account to be used by your driver; select Roles - administrator if you want this account to be used by your administration staff.
  5. When done, click the Create new account button at the bottom.

Note: after you have created new driver account, you need to click on the Administration menu, Structure -> Content types -> Live Parcels - edit -> Comment fields tab -> Driver assigned - edit -> Click Save settings at the bottom (no need to change anything). If you don't do this, you will not see the new driver account from the drop down list when you try to assign drivers.

Create prepaid/postpaid account on behalf of your user

  1. Login using the administrator account provided.
  2. Click the People link at the top of the administration menu.
  3. Click Add user.
  4. Enter the details for this user and select Roles - pre-paid or post-paid depending which account type do you want this user to have.
  5. When done, click the Create new account button at the bottom.

Create prepaid/postpaid account as a user

  1. Visit the home page of your site without logging in and click the Create new account link.
  2. Fill in the fields as shown.
  3. When completed, press the Create new account button at the bottom.
  4. By default, we have configured the site such that the administrator need to approve the account before it can be used. The e-mail address you have configured at Configuration -> Site information will receive a e-mail notification when someone register an account pending administrator approval.
  5. Once the administrator approve the account, the account can be used.

To approve the account the user have created

  1. Login as administrator.
  2. At the top of the administration menu, click the People link and then click the username that is blocked.
  3. Examine the details the user have entered to make sure the details is valid and not created by bots/spammers.
  4. If the user is real, click the Edit tab, select Active under Status to approve the account. (You can also disable any accounts by selecting Blocked.)
  5. Under roles, tick the account type you want this user to have, e.g. pre-paid, post-paid, driver or admin.
  6. If you notice any typo or mistakes in the user details, you should also update it.
  7. Lastly, click the Save button and the user will receive e-mail notifications.
