We started designing and developing Liveparcels as the smartphone evolution starts to take shape and open source software is gaining momentum. As a result, we had designed Liveparcels system to benefit from the best CMS available and to take full advantage of smartphone's functionality.

LiveParcels is based on an award winning open source Content Management System (CMS), Drupal allowing one to easily customize and extend its functionality. There are thousands of free open source modules available for Drupal and you can install them on the Liveparcels service plan you purchase from us. There is no limit to what you can do with LiveParcels. By using smartphone as the primary method through which your drivers submit status update of the parcel being carried, we can record location information provided by the phone and display it on the parcel tracking page. Signature upon delivery can be recorded directly on the phone or the driver can simply take a photo as it is delivered. Internet connectivity is not essential and our mobile application is designed to operate even without internet access. In remote locations where 3G internet is not available, even 2G internet would be sufficient to submit parcel status update.
